EA Sports confirmed earlier this week that several Nebraska football coaching staff members will be active participants in this season's upcoming release of EA Sports College Football. They’ll be in very good company.

EA Sports College Football 26 features over 300 real-world coaches, and Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule, offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen, and defensive coordinator John Butler will be featured in the game.

Matt Rhule and coordinators join EA Sports College Football 26 as playable Nebraska coaches

The Nebraska football team is one of a smaller group of colleges that boasts all three of its head coach, offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator as “in the game.” Most other schools have a head coach (though reports are that Bill Belichick is not one of them) and perhaps one coordinator. Still other schools are only represented by the HC.

Last season's EA Sports College Football allowed players to have their Name, Image, and Likeness to be used in exchange for $600 and a copy of the game. However, no real coaches were included.

Now, the coaching staffs can opt in to have their likeness used in-game. In a press release, EA Sports celebrated this new addition to their franchise:

"Suit up for Ryan Day. Compete against Kirby Smart. Recruit as or against Dan Lanning. Go toe-to-toe with current coaches who bring distinctive playstyles to the field. Strategize like they would with their unique playbooks for a more authentic coaching experience."

Seen as one of the most profitable video games of all time the payouts for players increased to $1,500 per person.

This year, not only will Nebraska football fans get to take control of their favorite Huskers, but they’ll see their favorite coaches roaming the sidelines in EA Sports College Football 26.
