As recruiting rankings start to get released for the 2029 class, it's apparent that the Nebraska football team is making early noise for some of the best players in the cycle.

One of the biggest stars, both literally and figuratively, is defensive tackle J'Deion Jackson. The monster-bodied run stopper is getting his official recruiting run started with unofficial visits this fall. That includes a visit to the Huskers on October 3 against Maryland.

Nebraska football target J'Deion Jackson ranks No. 2 nationally with 29 offers

The 6-foot-2, 330-pound 4-star defensive lineman from The First Academy in Orlando, Florida, is a heck of an athlete considering he also excels at throwing events in track and field. J'Deion Jackson is ranked as the No. 2 player in the 2029 class, the No. 1 defensive lineman, and the No. 1 player in the state of Florida, and has plenty of power programs coming hard after his services.

In addition to Nebraska, Jackson has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Colorado, Colorado State, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Maryland, Miami, NC State, Syracuse, Tennessee, UCLA, and West Virginia, among others. Despite not being eligible to sign with a college for a couple of years, he already has 29 total offers and the tally will almost certainly explode over the next few months.

Although Jackson is being scouted and recruited as a defensive lineman, he's also made plays on the offensive side of the ball at The First Academy. He put up 86 rushing yards on 10 carries, and he gained 120 receiving yards on seven receptions and one touchdown, lining up at tight end.

In addition to seeing Nebraska in October, Jackson has several other visits planned and will be getting one heck of a gameday atmosphere at a ton of programs. This fall, he'll be at LSU for its September 5 against Clemson, Texas (September 12 versus Ohio State), Tennessee (October 17 versus Alabama) and Ohio State (November 7 against Oregon).

Football is a family affair for J'Deion Jackson. Ja'Keem Jackson, his brother, plays cornerback at LSU. Another brother of his ran track at Kentucky and Florida but is now considering the professional route. T'Sharvan Bell, his cousin, played at Auburn. Another cousin, Shaquille Bell, attended Colorado State. Yet another cousin is Devin Jackson, a current Oregon freshman safety.

It's clear that the Nebraska football team has its work cut out for it to keep J'Deion Jackson away from SEC programs. The big talk is that the Florida Gators are the early frontrunners, though there's obviously plenty of time before anything is set in stone.
