The Nebraska football team can officially declare “mission accomplished” with their win in the Pinstripe Bowl over Boston College. Quite a few Huskers know just how hard their teammates have worked and how so many of them, like Ty Robinson came back for extra years in order to try and get NU to a winning season and a bowl win for the first time in almost a decade.

And now, there are plenty of Husker players who know the job isn’t over. That the next mission is to keep things going and build the program back up.

Count Nebraska football offensive lineman Henry Lutovsky among those who understands the next task is his. And he is more than willing to step up to the task.

Nebraska football offensive lineman credits toughness, leadership of teammates

"Just the toughness we tried to have all year - the senior leadership, they wanted it more than anybody," Lutovsky told the media after the game. "A guy like Bryce Benhart has never felt what he's feeling tonight in his six years here. We wanted to send guys like him, Giff, Ty, Nash, out the right way. We just embodied what they're always been about — toughness."

"The whole time I've been here, I've been hearing about this curse that we've always had, but this group didn't believe in that curse — we made it to a bowl game and we won it," Lutovsky said. "This is great momentum to carry into the offseason and this is something that we can work toward next season and do even better than next year."

That’s exactly the kind of thing you want to hear from the Nebraska football players who are coming back in 2025. You want to hear they know there’s still work to do, and that they feel up to the task.
