The Nebraska football team has been on quite a roll in the transfer portal the last few days. It appears that they might be on the verge of adding yet another talented defender.

More than that, the Huskers look to be on the verge of adding a valuable piece in a position group that needs to be rebuilt. Hot on the heels of landing Justyn Rhett, the Cornhuskers seem poised to steal a former Oklahoma Sooner defender.

Dasan McCullough recently came and saw what the Nebraska football program had to offer. It looks like he liked what he saw. On3 currently has him predicted as a very solid lean towards NU with a 100% prediction rate.

The Huskers had multiple defensive linemen and EDGE players on campus over the last two weeks. McCullough is the first true linebacker target weโ€™ve seen NU host.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound McCullough was a freshman All-American at Indiana in 2022 before transferring to OU in 2023. He played in 17 games over the last two seasons, making 12 starts at the Cheetah and Will linebacker positions. He missed the first five games of 2024 with injury, which is one reason why his numbers dropped so precipitously last season.

Dasan is the son of Notre Dame associate head coach and running backs coach Deland McCullough and this is also how the Nebraska football team might have an in as the eld McCullough worked with new Cornhuskers defensive line coach Terry Bradden with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2018-2020.

Thereโ€™s been quite a bit of celebrating on Nebraska football social media over the last 12 hours. This was after Rhett pulled the trigger on his commitment. One of the biggest signs was new NU linebacker Dawson Merritt posting a tweet with two smilies, alluding to two commits. Husker fans should keep their eyes open for a big move before Christmas.
