Dylan Raiola isn't even officially in the transfer portal, but there are already some schools that have been connected to the Nebraska quarterback as potential landing spots. Less than an hour after reports surfaced that Raiola would enter the portal when it opens on January 2, Oregon became a frontrunner. However, on Tuesday, the Louisville Cardinals became a contender and a possible perfect landing spot for the sophomore.

Raiola joined the Huskers as one of the best quarterback prospects in the country. While he's put up some impressive numbers, he's also shown some places he badly needs to improve.

Louisville is one such place where the Nebraska quarterback could land that would be the best of all worlds. First of all, the Cardinals play in arguably the worst Power 4 conference.

How Dylan Raiola’s skill set fits a Jeff Brohm offense

Raiola could put up monster numbers for the Cardinals while really only having to worry about truly top-tier defenses two or three times a year. In the eyes of a quarterback looking to go to the NFL, that has to be more attractive than a Big Ten that has physical defenses all up and down the conference.

Louisville also has one of the more renowned quarterback whisperers in the sport as its head coach. Jeff Brohm is well-known for taking middling signal callers and sending them to the NFL. What could he do with a legitimate NFL prospect landing in his lap?

With an ACC that was just won by an 8-5 team, it wouldn't be hard to see Raiola lead the Cardinals to a run at the playoffs either. Especially when all the "power" teams in the conference (Clemson, Miami, Florida State) will be hitting the reset button on their own quarterback situations.

Assuming Dylan Raiola does eventually leave Nebraska (he hasn't confirmed his plans yet), Louisville seems like the perfect landing spot. It could all come down to what advice he follows and how much the Cardinals are willing to offer up in NIL money.
