When Dylan Raiola announced he's headed elsewhere, it was one of the more earth-shaking announcements of the day. Even if people knew he was likely headed out of Nebraska, that he was officially leaving was big news. It wasn't just big news for the Huskers.

It took no time at all for there to be guesses about where Raiola might go. At least one report has him sticking around the Big Ten and heading to the Oregon Ducks. That he's even considered a possible future Duck could mean that some other dominoes are about to fall. Including a big one named Dante Moore.

Chris Hummer reported that Oregon is one of the most likely landing spots for the Nebraska quarterback. But should Raiola go there, Moore would almost have to be on his way out of Eugene. So far, he's not been clear on if he's made up his mind to go to the NFL. It seems unlikely he'd enter the portal.

Nebraska football could feel ripple effects as Dylan Raiola explores new options

If Oregon is really talking to Dylan Raiola's people, it seems they feel they won't have Moore at their disposal in 2026. More than that, the Ducks are likely one of the most popular destinations for quarterbackers entering the portal.

Oregon has sent plenty of QBs to the pros. The school is also a perennial National Title Contender. And of course, it has Nike money backing its NIL efforts. Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt and Florida's DJ Lagway are going to look for new homes when the transfer portal opens on January 2.

It might be a race to see which quarterback can sign with Oregon. If Moore leaves and Dylan Raiola becomes the next Duck quarterback, it's going to knock over other dominoes. Those dominoes will almost certainly involve Nebraska at some point. While the Huskers are vocal about how much they like TJ Lateef, it's feeling more and more like they will go get a portal QB to at least compete with Lateef for the job.
