Nebraska football's Dylan Raiola taking a disproportionate amount of hate online

While Dylan Raiola has been the epitomy of class for Nebraska football as a true freshman, social media trolls can't seem to help themselves.

The Nebraska football team is fresh off a Pinstripe Bowl victory over BC where true freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola set the school record for passing yards in a first college season.

Along the way, it's seemed as though Raiola has said all the right things. He's seemingly done all the right things for a progam that has needed a real leader for quite a while. And yet, he's been the subject of ridicule for a good part of his freshman season.

The haters have come after the Nebraska football star early and often, with most of the focus being the fact that he seems to emulate future NFL Hall of Famer Patrick Mahomes quite often. It's gotten to the point where even Mahomes has noticed. As the season has gone on, social media has been angrier and more viscious in attacking Raiola with several trolls clearly looking for clout by going after the teen quarterback.

Nebraska football quarterback Dylan Raiola blasted by online trolls

This time around, Raiola got a ton of heat after the Huskers won because of how he celebrated, running around Yankee stadium and pumping up NU fans. The same people who seemingly have a problem with everything he does, unsurprisingly had a problem with that.

That problem once again sparked more trolls to attack the Huskers' quarterback simply for existing.

One troll pretended that despite Raiola leading Nebraska to a 7-6 record and setting the school freshman record for passing yards, that he isn't good.

The always less than reputable Barstool got into the action, claiming that Raiola is a dirty player. An allegation that has never, ever surfaced before he beat Boston College.

Yet another ridiculous Barstool account claimed he was never "beating the allegations" without making it clear what exactly it had a problem with.

What has become clear with all of these social media trolls is they have a problem with the Nebraska football star because he ... is good, wins and likes Patrick Mahomes. Truly something that doesn't seem to make much sense.
