Millard South has suddenly become a stop along the way for Nebraska football commits to prepare for their freshman season with the Huskers after wide receiver Antayvious Ellis announced he's following quarterback Trae Taylor to the high school.

Taylor announced he was spending his final year before college living in Lincoln and commuting to Millard South on Wednesday. Less than 24 hours later, Ellis is moving from his Crowley, Texas home to the Cornhuskers state for the same bunch of reasons as Taylor.

"I wanted to do something uncomfortable and go play with my boy [Trae]. The main thing is recruiting. Recruit the best of the best. We want the best class in 2027," the Nebraska wide receiver commit told Hurdat Sports on Thursday morning.

Ellis and Taylor have been working hard at making a 2027 recruiting class that's already very good, even better. Since their commitments to the Huskers, the pair have struck up a strong friendship that's included co-hosting a podcast.

They've also worked hard at attempting to lure in other Nebraska targets since they gave their pledge to Matt Rhule and Co. That's included working especially hard on Ruston, Louisiana tight end Ahmad Hudson who just happens to be one of the top prospects in the entire 2027 class.

According to 247Sports, the Huskers currently boasts the No. 5 class in the 2027 cycle with six commits including Ellis, Taylor, defensive back Tory Pittman III, running back Amir Brown, offensive tackle Matt Erickson and defensive lineman Jayden Travers.

With the quarterback and wide receiver now moving to Millard South, one of the powerhouse programs in the Nebraska high school ranks is turning into an unexpected kind of pipeline after already being quite the feeder school in the state.
