Thomas is making his pick on July 12. When he does he will be picking between the Nebraska football team, North Carolina, Michigan, SMU, and Texas.
After taking several visits to schools that are in the running most recruiting analysts believe the choice for Thomas will come down to the Longhorns and Cornhuskers. There is a bit of a twist as the linebacker did enjoy his visit to Ann Arbor this summer.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound LB is ranked as the No. 254 player in the country and the No. 18 LB per the 247Sports Composite rating. Thomas finished his 2024 high school season with 69 tackles, 8.5 TFLs, seven sacks, and one INT.
Just a few weeks ago, the Huskers 2026 recruiting class looked rather problematic. However, the class has seen some serious action over the past week and a half. After the decommitment of four-star cornerback CJ Bronaugh, the Huskers picked up 3-star tight end Luke Sorensen, 4-star cornerback Danny Odem, 3-star running back Jamal Rhule, and this weekend flipped 4-star wide receiver Nalin Scott from Arizona State. As of today, the class sits at nine commitments.
There are three or four other players that could be announcing they’re committing to the Nebraska football team in the next few weeks. Davis could be one of those, when he pulls the trigger on July 12.
