While the Nebraska football team’s recruiting hasn’t really heated up yet this year, it looks like it might be on the precipice. The latest sign that Matt Rhule and company are about to warm up something special is the interest of the program by 4-star wide receiver Jabari Brady.
Brady has an official lined up for the Huskers on June 20. And just one month later he’s said to be pulling the trigger on a commitment. It appears that the Cornhuskers are indeed in the race and he’s not just giving NU lip service.
The Nebraska football team is getting that visit, but the fight is far from over. And it appears that an old Big 12 and even Big 8 rival might be the team that’s standing in the way.
Nebraska football in line for 4-star wide receiver
Brady is the No. 127 wide receiver in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports composite rankings. Missouri, Oklahoma and Florida are expected to be the big competitors, along with Nebraska for his services.
The Pompano Beach prospect is clearly liking what he sees from the teams that are from the SEC but he’s also really and truly interested in the Huskers.
It’s not remotely surprising that the big power teams are very interested in the receiver. Last year, he hauled down 70 receptions for 1,392 yards and 10 touchdowns, according to MaxPreps.
Brady just checked out Missouri and word is he liked what he saw. Now it’s about Nebraska football making a push over the next few months.
