There may not be anything to worry about regarding Nebraska's 2027 running back commit, Amir Brown, but that could change quickly. Brown received an official offer from the Alabama Crimson Tide earlier this week.
Brown certainly isn't suffering from a lack of big offers. In addition to the Crimson Tide, he's got offers from Penn State, Ohio State, and Notre Dame. The 4-star back out of Rolesville, North Carolina, is just inside the Top 300 players according to Rivals and is the No. 21 running back in the class according to the site's Industry Rankings.
The kind of season he had in 2025 makes it seem like a no-brainer for the big schools to be coming after him. The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder flashed an ability to be a physical and explosive running back. He finished the year with 1,374 rushing yards and 25 rushing touchdowns.
After a great conversation I’m blessed and honored to receive an offer from The University Of Alabama !!!! @AlabamaFTBL @KalenDeBoer @BAMACoachG @TomLoy247 @samspiegs @adamgorney @RamsFootballNC @RRACKLEY9 pic.twitter.com/6iKGk502hi

It would make sense if Nebraska fans get a bit nervous about Amir Brown getting such a big offer. After all, he committed to the Huskers after decommitting from the North Carolina Tar Heels. Some might wonder if an offer from a school like 'Bama might make him rethink his recruitment again.
On the other hand, Brown has given no indication that he's wavered even a little bit since giving his pledge to head coach Matt Rhule. Still, this is something Nebraska will have to keep an eye on, considering there's still the better part of eight months until Amir Brown can officially sign on the dotted line.
