The Nebraska football team is still trying to really take off regarding its 2026 recruiting, but it feels like things will really start rolling along any minute now. It especially feels that way when guys like offensive tackle Leon Noil Jr. put the Huskers in their final three teams.

Noil Jr., out of Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA), is a 3-star offensive lineman who is choosing between the Cornhuskers, Baylor, and Mississippi State. While he's not got a ton of the best teams in the country coming after him, he's got enough power programs wanting his services that this would be a massive recruiting win for Matt Rhule, Donovan Raiola, and the rest of the coaching staff.

According to On3sports network, after his June 12 official visit to see what the Nebraska football team had to offer, Noil said the visit was "perfect. "

In addition to heading to Lincoln a few weeks back, the offensive lineman, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 255 pounds Noil, took official visits to his other finalists this month. On June 6, he was at Baylor, and this past weekend, on June 20, he took another look at Mississippi State.

The Nebraska football team currently has commitments from eight players in the Class of 2026, including two offensive linemen — Hayden Ainsworth of Biloxi (Miss.) High, and Rex Waterman, of Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton High. The Huskers are also in line to score a couple more commitments by the end of July. Leon Noil Jr. has pinpointed July 7 as the day he'll pull the trigger on a pledge.
