The Nebraksa football team continues to be gunning for some of the best players in the country when it comes to the 2206 class and it appears their efforts are working out as the program just made the Top 12 for linebacker Tony “Ducie” Williams.
A standout linebacker from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida, this Class of 2026 prospect has garnered significant attention in the recruiting world. Standing at 6'0" and weighing 215 pounds, he boasts a Rivals rating of 5.8, ranking 50th nationally, 8th in the state, and 8th at his position according to that site. His impressive performance on the field has led to offers from 20 programs, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Miami (FL), South Florida, and SMU as well as the Huskers.
Earlier this week, Williams cut down the teams he’s still considering, though he was careful to make it clear his recruiting is still very much open. In addition to the Nebraska football team, the linebacker is looking at the Hurricanes, North Carolina State, Louisville, Georgia Tech, the Illini, Missouri, the Mustangs, the Hoosiers, Pitt, Wake Forest and the Cyclones.

Nebraska football pushing for 2026 linebacker Tony Williams
The Jacksonville product has been a bit of a rising prospect over the last few weeks, considering that more Power 4 teams have come calling. He certainly put up the numbers in his junior year to warrant the attention.
The defender racked up 101 tackles and 6 sacks in 2024, according to Max Preps, and it only looks like he’s going to be better in his senior season.
For now, there’s no timetable on when he might take the next step. However, the Nebraska football staff is almost certainly working hard to get Tony Williams to set an official visit to Lincoln and really get their foot in the door for the talented ‘backer.
