As the 2026 recruiting cycle heats up, the Nebraska football team is finding itself right in the thick of things more often than not. Earlier this week, the Huskers found out that they have officially made the cut for one of the best defensive lineman in the class.

Having been named one of Titan Davis’ Top 14, the Cornhuskers are prepping for a visit later this spring and hoping they can beat off some pretty impressive competition.

Davis took to Twitter earlier this week to announce the teams he’s giving a longer look to in his recruitment. Alongside the Nebraska football team is Missouri, Texas, Alabama, Penn State, Auburn, Texas A&M, Oregon, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Kansas State, USC and Illinois.

One thing Husker fans might notice on that list is the sheer number of Big Ten rivals Matt Rhule and company are going to have to fight off. The good news there is that he recently told the Detroit News that he will check out what Lincoln has to offer.

Titan Davis stands out as one of the best

“His size is unbelievable, but he’s also fast, really fast,” Davis’ head coach at DeSmet John Merritt told the Detroit News. “He’s especially fast in short areas with his quickness. He can close in two steps on you faster than anybody else around. Usually those guys are kind of lanky; he’s not. When he closes that gap he’s violent and nobody wants any part of that.”

The Saint Louis prospect has clearly impressed some of the best teams in the country with his talent. Especially considering he’s still got some room to put some muscle and pounds on that lanky frame.

Obviously, the next step for the Nebraska football team is to get Titan Davis to come to town and see what the Huskers have to offer. At the moment, the defensive lineman is considered a slight lean to NU. Though clearly, theres plenty of time to either lock that in, or lose ground.
