Mett Rhule has done something that was projected as a statement to the Big 12, and it is huge for Nebraska's future offense. The Cornhuskers have just landed 4-star wide receiver Nalin Scott, who was once committed to Arizona State and had been since April of this year. Scott had an official visit with Nebraska this past weekend, which was a late addition, and chose to flip his commitment now, just days after.

Scott has had an offer from Nebraska since February, but ultimately, he chose to go coast to coast from Georgia to Arizona with the Sun Devils. However, even with his early commitment, Scott was still looking around, and one official visit to Nebraska was all it took.

This is a huge addition for Rhule in the Class of 2026, as Scott is just the second wideout to commit to the currently smaller recruiting class, joining 3-star wide receiver Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte. Nebraska also got good news last week with another pass catcher landing, tight end Luke Sorensen. Scott is the ninth player to commit to Nebraska in this recruiting cycle.

Nalin Scott's flip should mean good things for Dylan Raiola in the future

While quarterback Dylan Raiola won't be able to reap the benefits of Scott's talent until the 2026 season, it is still something not just Raiola should be excited about, but every Nebraska fan should celebrate. Scott is ranked as the No. 55 wide receiver in his class and the No. 46 player in the state of Georgia according to 247Sports Industry rankings.

Scott seemed pretty set with Arizona State when he made his commitment back in April, but clearly, Nebraska made quite an impression on the young pass-catcher in order to gain his commitment over the Sun Devils. Even after he chose Arizona State, Nebraska never gave up on Scott and continued to pursue him, and now they have finally caught him.
