The Nebraska football team is trying its best to add some serious talent to a 2026 recruiting class that, at the moment, looks relatively sparse. The good news is that there are two wide receiver prospects who are both considered to be giving the Huskers a good long look. The better news is that it doesn’t appear Matt Rhule and his staff have to choose between Nalin Scott and Larry Miles.

Recruiting analyst Michael Bruntz recently appeared on the Hurrdat Podcast to talk about some serious recruiting developments in the 2026 recruiting class. Among those developments, Bruntz believes the Huskers can land both Miles and Scott.

“I don't think it's a sense of – I don't get the sense it's one or the other,” Bruntz said about Nebraska football’s chances of landing one or both of the wide receiver recruits. “You know, I think especially with Miles, I mean, you got to kind of consider how that recruitment came together. It's been quick. It's been a quick courtship.”

Nebraska football positioned to land both priority 2026 wide receiver targets

“You know, he's on his way back to Florida, basically diverts to Lincoln for an unofficial visit, comes back a few weeks later,” the analyst pointed out about Miles’ whirlwind recruitment process.

He then said things are a bit different when it comes to Scott, mainly because he is still technically a commit to Arizona State

“Scott's situation is a little bit unique because of Arizona State playing hardball with official visits once you're committed and things like that.”

However, it appears that Arizona State trying to stop Scott and other commits from visiting is having the opposite effect. Rather than locking the wide receiver down, it’s pushing him away.

Should the Nebraska football team end up getting both prospect, it would be massive wins for the Nebraska football team. Considering both could be committing quickly, those wins could come soon.
