Matt Rhule can send a statement by flipping a 4-star WR from a Big 12 foe

This would be big for Nebraska's 2026 recruiting class.

Nebraska was supposed to be out of the picture for 4-star wide receiver Nalin Scott after he committed to Arizona State in the Big 12, but now it seems like the Cornhuskers are still very much in the race. Even with his commitment to the Sun Devils. Scott is taking an official visit to Lincoln this weekend, which could cast some doubt in his mind about ASU.

Nebraska was one of the favorites to land Scott when his recruitment was still open, but after his commitment to Arizona State, it felt like the Cornhuskers had lost to the Big 12 yet again. However, since leaving the Big 12, Nebraska has fared well against the conference, and it is looking to steal a victory away yet again.

With today being one of the biggest recruiting days of the year, Nebraska could use a little bit of that luck to get a slip from Scott, stealing him away from the Sun Devils. The 4-star wide out is the No. 365 player nationally in the Class of 2026, the No. 55 wide receiver, and the No. 46 player in the state of Georgia.

Matt Rhule has to crack the code of recruting and has to do it soon

Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers aren't where they would like to be right now when it comes to recruiting. The Cornhuskers only have five recruits in the Class of 2026 after losing CJ Bronaugh to the Florida Gators earlier this week.

Rhule already has a wide receiver in this recruiting class, but another one, Scott, especially, would be huge for the Nebraska offense going forward. Not only would these guys be solid targets for quarterback Dylan Raiola, but they would also be good for 2027 quarterback commit Trae Taylor, who is already very excited to join the team in Lincoln.

Getting a flip from Scott would be a huge recruiting win for this team, and maybe even set off a chain reaction of commitments for the Cornhuskers.
