It hard to get people to Nebraska, but once they are there, it is easy to get them to love.

Those are the wise words of a young quarterback who seems as locked in as he can he with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule already has a commitment in the Class of 2027, and it's 4-star quarterback Trae Taylor out of Mundelein, Illinois. Taylor committed to the Cornhuskers at the beginning of May, and after an interview with former Nebraska football player Adam Carriker, he is looking to be the future of Nebraska football.

Taylor still has two years till he will officially step foot on campus in Lincoln as a Cornhusker, but he is already learning everything he can right now. Taylor is aware that he is expected to come in and be the replacement for the current quarterback, Dylan Raiola, but it is the mindset he has right now about his job that should get fans excited.

"My job is to take over when Dylan leaves," Taylor said. "Really just learn from him, that is what I am doing right now, learning from him, seeing how he takes control of the offense of the team, be the leader, and take over where he ends."

Tare Taylor wants more than to just be Dylan Raiola's replacement

Taylor's goal, however, isn't just to take over for Raiola when his time with the Cornhuskers comes to an end; he wants more than that. Taylor wants to be even better than Raiola in a Cornhusker uniform.

"To be honest, try my best to surpass him," Taylor said. "Your goal is always to try and be better than the person in front of you, and that is just the way life is, to be honest."

For a young kid to already have the mindset of not just coming in to take over, but coming in and being even better than who came before him says a lot about who he is. Taylor is planning to come in and represent Nebraska with pride and take the program to new heights.
