Nebraska wrestler AJ Ferrari's legal entanglements continued this week as he was criminally indicted in Texas.
Ferrari is set to make a first court appearance on the felony charges on February 6. According to Collin County, Texas, court records, Ferrari was indicted late last week for evading arrest with a vehicle.
Should the Nebraska wrestler be found guilty, he faces a charge punishable by two to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Coach Mark Manning's comments on the issue indicate that Ferrari won't be facing anywhere near the maximum punishment in comments he made earlier in the day.

"He took care of everything. He went down to Texas that next day and handled his business. I wished he would have handled it in October, but he handled it this time. It's just one of those things. He's pretty much all done with it," Manning said, adding that it was a teachable moment.
Ferrari went to Texas earlier this month to resolve the warrant that had been issued for his arrest in Texas, after it led to a weekend in a Nebraska jail after a traffic stop by a Nebraska State Patrol trooper.
When he went to Texas, he appeared in front of a judge to deal with the warrant. Two days later, the Collin County district attorney filed the indictment.
According to law enforcement, police twice tried to stop the Ferrari for speeding, and he drove away. After the first incident, the Nebraska wrestler turned himself in 10 days later and took care of it. The second time, on August 11, Ferrari didn't contact the police, which led to the warrant issued in October.
