The Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball team continues to be the most dominant program in the sport this season. Not only did they go 2-0 again this weekend, but they continued a set sweep streak that dates back to September 16. Ironically, in-state rival Creighton is the last team to win even a set against NU, while no team has won a match in the Dani Busboom Kelly era.
On Thursday, NU blasted Illinois 3-0, and then on Saturday, the Huskers ran into a formidable opponent with another ranked school in No. 22 Minnesota.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball team upended Minnesota, 25-15, 25-21, 25-20. It was the closest the squad has come to losing a set in quite a while, but they stayed perfect and will next gear up for UCLA on Friday, November 14.
Rienk Mast posts triple-double in latest Husker win
Rienk Mast recorded the third triple-double in school history, while Nebraska hit 17 3-pointers in a 96-66 win over FIU Saturday afternoon at Pinnacle Bank Arena to improve to 2-0 on the season.
While Mast's accomplishment is a big one, the best news might be that the Huskers didn't have the same kind of slow start issues that worried some onlookers in their first game of the season. This time around, NU dominated from the opening tip.
Hoiberg's heroes will next take on Maryland-Eastern Shore on Tuesday, November 11. It's the final tune-up before the schedule gets more difficult against the Oklahoma Sooners.

- Saturday was a great day for Nebraska in general as the football team won its seventh game of the season with a 28-21 win over UCLA. The bigger news was the game running back Emmett Johnson had. He was the first player this year to rush for 100 and get 100 yards receiving. He might be on a path to an All-American nod if he can finish strong.
- Johnson wasn't the only Nebraska Cornhuskers player who had a great game. Freshman quarterback TJ Lateef nearly had a perfect game, and after the win, fans chanted his name.
