The Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball team continues its season undefeated after knocking off the Maryland Terapins on Saturday afternoon.

Sweeping the Terps 25-14, 27-25, 25-14, Rebekah Allick led the charge for NU and tied her career-high in kills with 13. The senior middle blocker also achieved a career best .706 hitting percentage. As a whole, Nebraska hit .360 with its middles having another elite showing. Andi Jackson joined Allick with nine kills on .800 hitting.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will next get their first real test in the Big Ten as they'll face off against Penn State on Friday, October 3.

Nebraska hosts top 2027 lineman Mason Halliman

The Huskers had a massive recruiting weekend for Michigan, and among the players they're trying their hardest to reel in is offensive lineman Mason Halliman.

QB commit Trae Taylor hosted the OT when he was in Lincoln. They hit it off, considering the Huskers are now among his final five. They'll still need to fight off the likes of Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Auburn, but NU looks to be in good shape.

Dylan Raiola gets some Top 10 rankings love

While Dylan Raiola has had a relatively quiet season nationally, he's starting to get the respect he deserves. That includes being included in a Top 10 ranking of the best quarterbacks in the country.

USA Today's Paul Myerberg ranked the Nebraska quarterback as the No. 6 quarterback in the country. He's one of four QBs in the Big Ten that are in the Top 10 in the country.

More Nebraska Cornhuskers news

  • While the Huskers are in good shape for the current season, the future at quarterback looks good as well. Both 2026 commit Dayton Raiola and 2027 commit Trae Taylor are having very good seasons.
  • It's possible that the Iowa Hawkeyes took a massive blow to their season on Saturday. Not only did they lose to Indiana, but starting quarterback Mark Gronowski was injured. For now, the Hawkeyes are hopeful he'll be fine, but leg injuries for quarterbacks who run as much as he does are never good.
  • The Nebraska Cornhuskers open as big favorites over the Michigan State Spartans. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, NU is a 10.5-point favorite in their second Big Ten contest.
