The Nebraska-USC game just got bigger

While there's far too much focus on the stuff that has nothing to do with how Dylan Raiola plays, the Nebraska football quarterback is starting to get some love for his insane 2025 season.

Raiola's start to his sophomore season has been oddly dismissed by quite a few talking heads for one reason or another, despite it being Heisman-caliber worthy. However, one analyst did put the Husker signal caller inside the Top 10 of his latest national quarterback rankings. The kind of ranking that shows just how good Raiola has been, even if it's done oddly quietly.

Dylan Raiola finally lands among top quarterbacks in national rankings

USA Today's Paul Myerberg ranked the Nebraska star as his No. 6 quarterback in the country. The ranking, which came before the Week 5 matchups that might shift things for next week, is packed with Big Ten QB1s as four of the Top 10 are from the conference.

"Even with the running game missing in action and no help from his offensive front, Raiola nearly carried Nebraska to an upset of No. 18 Michigan with 308 passing yards and three touchdowns. He did throw his first interception, though, part of an ugly first quarter that saw the Cornhuskers quickly fall behind by multiple scores."

Myerberg has Indiana's Fernando Mendoza listed as his top pick. No. 2 Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia, followed by Dante Moore of Oregon, Carson Beck at Miami, John Mateer of Oklahoma, and then Raiola.

The Top 10 is rounded out by Josh Hoover (TCU), Jayden Maiava (USC), Jalon Daniels (Kansas), and Trinidad Chambliss (Mississippi).

Should these rankings not shift too much, the Nebraska football team's November 1 matchup with USC will feature a showdown between two Top 10 quarterbacks on this list.
