The Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball team returns to action on Saturday night after an interesting week to finish up the non-conference slate. The Huskers beat Creighton on Tuesday night in a five-set thriller that further tested Dani Busboom Kelly's squad. Now they wrap things up before the Big Ten with Arizona.

The Huskers are 9-0 on the season and will look to go 10-0. Then it's onto conference play and things really start to rock as they'll do battle with Wisconsin, Penn State and others as they look to return to the finals.

John Cook gets a statue

Earlier this week, NU honored one of the most iconic figures in Nebraska Cornhuskers Athletics with a statue dedication ceremony for legendary volleyball coach John Cook.

The ceremony took place on the north side of the Bob Devaney Sports Center, near the bottom of the pedestrian ramp. Speakers included University of Nebraska System President Dr. Jeffrey Gold, Athletic Director Troy Dannen, Nebraska Volleyball Head Coach Dani Busboom Kelly, and Cook himself. Cook retired on Jan. 29 after 25 seasons leading Nebraska Volleyball and 32 years overall as a head coach. During his Nebraska tenure, Cook built one of the sport’s most dominant programs.

Nebraska Cornhuskers hosting 4-star RB in big recruiting weekend

Nebraska is deep in the mix for four-star running back Isaiah Rogers, a Massachusetts native who has received offers from across this country, and now, the Cornhuskers are hosting him over a weekend that could make or break their recruitment of the young prospect.

Nebraska needs to stop a new dual-threat

When the Nebraska Cornuskers take on Michigan and Bryce Underwood this week, they'll be facing off against a quarterback who came in as a great drop back passer. However, this week, he's been given the green light to run as much as he feels the need. That comes on the heels of running for over 100 yards last week.
