The Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball team continues to rebuild for the 2026 season through the transfer portal. After losing some crucial bats just after their Regionals exit, Will Bolt is looking to find a way to bring in some talented players.

One such talented player committed on Wednesday when Ohio Valley Player of the Year, Cole Kitchens, announced he was coming to NU. Kitchens hit .371 this season for the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles, collecting 82 hits, 12 home runs, and 60 RBI over 53 games.

Nebraska Cornhuskers could add a new offensive lineman in July

The Nebraska Cornhuskers were named in the final three teams for offensive tackle prospect Leon Noil Jr. on Wednesday. The Huskers are in the running for the 3-star prospect alongside Baylor and Mississippi State. He'll announce his commitment on July 7 so Matt Rhule and company won't need to wait long to find out if they won the recruiting battle.

Nebraska not named among Toughest Places To Play in EA Sports College Football 26

When EA Sports College Football 26 launches on July 10 (and July 7 for those who bought the Deluxe Edition) there's plenty of reasons why Nebraska fans should be excited. However, one thing that has Husker fans a little annoyed is that Memorial Stadium isn't listed among the Toughest Places to Play.

NU trolls EA over virtual Matt Rhule

Speaking of College Football 26, this year's version of the college football game will have real head coaches. That includes Matt Rhule. And when Nebraska Cornhuskers fans got a look at what Rhule is supposed to look like in the game, it got plenty of laughs. Of course, the university got the last laugh when it trolled EA Sports not long after the video game version of the head coach was released.
