The Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball team finished the regular season a game over .500, thanks to taking two of three from the Purdue Boilermakers. They also grabbed the 8th seed in the Big Ten Tournament. All of that is good news. The bad news is that most projections don’t have them going to the postseason beyond the B1G tourney.
One such projection, from 11Point7, released a field of 64, the first four out, and the next four out. The Huskers were nowhere to be found. They’re not on D1baseball’s list either. That likely means they need to go 4-0 in the tournament.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers are only No. 64 in RPI, and that’s the biggest reason why their chances of making the tournament are very slim. It’s looking like they’ll need to make the same kind of run they did last year to be in the field of 64.
Jordy Bahl meet Barry Bonds
Not only is the Nebraska softball team on a heck of a run, sweeping its way to Super Regionals, but Jordy Bahl is on another level. This weekend, she seemed to get the Barry Bonds treatment, posting only five official ABs and walking 7 times. When she did post an AB, she got a hit, and four of those hits were home runs.
Trae Taylor doubles down on loyalty to Nebraska
This weekend, in a social media discussion with another quarterback prospect, Trae Taylor laid out again why he picked the Nebraska Cornhuskers and did it so early. And why he’s not going to change his mind.
