Now that the Nebraska Cornhuskers are done with their non-conference schedule, it’s officially time to start looking at what it’s going to take to make the big dance. The Huskers are looking to get to the NCAA Tournament for the second season in a row and for now, it looks like they’re in a decent standing in that regard.

NU currently sits at 11-2, and 11-1 in non-conference. Granted, one reason their record is so good outside of the Big Ten is because the schedule wasn’t very hard. Still, getting halfway to 20 wins is a big deal for a program that doesn’t log 20 wins all that often, no matter how easy the schedule was.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers just saw their first real chances at making the dance. Fox College Hoops put out one of the first Bracketologies of the season. And the Huskers are in, at least for now.

Nebraska Cornhuskers face off against old rival

Mike DeCourcy is the one who put together this prediction and while the Huskers are not in easily, they are indeed in.

This bracket has the Huskers getting the No. 10 seed in the Midwest Regional. And should that be the way things shake out, he has NU going up against No. 7 seed Oklahoma.

While Nebraska Cornhuskers fans would love to see a higher seed than No. 10, they will absolutely take it if it means Nebraska makes the big dance. There’s also an argument that Oklahoma is hardly unbeatable. This will now officially be something to watch as the season goes on.
