On Thursday, Nebraska basketball fans were in full-on panic mode at the way the Huskers were handling the Transfer Portal. 48 hours later, Fred Hoiberg went from having just one portal addition in former Belmont forward Sam Orme, to four additions, with the latest on Saturday morning being ex-Boston College big man Boden Kapke.

Rivals' Robin Washut was the first to announce that Kapke officially committed to the Huskers, giving them the guy who could complement Orme in replacing Berke Buyuktuncel and Rienk Mast.

Nebraska basketball shuts down doubters with Boden Kapke commitment

The 6-foot-11, 255-pound junior from Victoria, Minnesota, started 17 of his 31 appearances for the Eagles last season, averaging 26.8 minutes per contest. He was the team's third-leading scorer at 10.6 points per game with 5.7 rebounds, while shooting 33.3% on 87 attempts from 3-point range.

The newest Nebraska addition also finished with a bang, scoring in double digits in Boston College's final five games of the season, including a career high 25 against Virginia Tech. Before coming to Boston College, Kapke played two years at Butler.

With his numbers and height, it seems likely that Orme could slide right into the Rienk Mast role, working the lane but also shooting plenty from outside the arc. Meanwhile, Kapke looks more like a Berke replacement. He'll play closer to the hoop but can go outside if absolutely necessary.

Nebraska basketball adds three portal additions in two days

The addition of Kapke is obviously good news. That he comes just one day after Nebraska added big man Kadyn Betts and point guard Trevan Leonhardt should quiet the concerns over whether the Huskers are having success in the Transfer Portal this offseason. It's also possible Fred Hoiberg isn't done yet.
