247Sports recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong added the latest chapter of the Dylan Raiola soap opera on Monday evening when he announced on X that he was now predicting that Nebraska football was in line to land the 5-star quarterback.

To say the announcement was a bit of a shock to Husker Nation is an understatement. It’s long been thought that Raiola was solid for Georgia. Nebraska even moved on at his position group with Bellevue West quarterback Daniel Kaelin.

Wiltfong says that the move to the Huskers is not totally out of left field for Raiola. He’s visited Lincoln a couple of times this season.

It appears that Matt Rhule and company haven’t given up on on the 5-star quarterback. Now it looks as though not giving up on Raiola paid off.

The question is whether or not the information that Wiltfong has received is something Nebraska football fans can trust. After all, there have been other times when all signs seemed to point to the quarterback committing to the Cornhuskers when he withdrew his commitment from Ohio State.

A reversal so close to signing day would also be quite the flip would also be unexpected, considering that Raiola moved to the state of Georgia and played high school ball in the state.

One piece of good news for those who have grown tired of the soap opera and sitting and waiting is that it appears it’s going to be over soon. If Dylan Raiola does pick Nebraska football over the Georgia Bulldogs, he’ll be eligible to sign in 9 days.
