The Nebraska Football team has jumped back into the lead for one of the best offensive linemen still on their board and is hosting him on Saturday.

It wasn’t all that long ago at all, a couple of days really, when Nebraska Football looked like they had lost all the ground on the race for Grant Brix. Things are changing. Things are changing fast, as a matter of fact.

On Friday night, word started spreading. The 4-star offensive line prospect is headed to Lincoln.

Brix is taking in the Nebraska Football game against Purdue. It turns out the visit is a rather big surprise as the Logan, Iowa product had previously said he was done taking visits.

However, 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong reports that Brix is indeed in town to check out the Huskers play the Boilermakers. Just how much ground the Nebraska Football team has made up, is still very much in question. However, it’s undeniably a good thing that Matt Rhule and company got the offensive lineman to town.

There was a time when NU was the front-runner. In fact, there was a time when they seemed like not only the best choice but the only one. However, these days, recruiting services are decidedly torn on who is in the lead.

Nebraska Football running ahead, or behind?

Kansas State and Oklahoma have long been the teams the Cornhuskers were most fearful of in the race for Grant Brix. In the last few days, OU has morphed into the clear leader.

It makes sense. Things are hopping in Norman. The Sooners look like they have a realistic shot at the playoffs this year. With their offense, there’s even a chance they can win it all.

Who doesn’t want to play for a team at that level.

On the other hand, it’s undeniable that Matt Rhule’s vision for a rebuild is ahead of its normal schedule.

Nebraska Football is on the climb and reeling in Grant Brix would be a massive help.
