Nebraska football commit Dae’Vonn Hall might have seen his final high school season come to an abrupt end with an injury on Friday night.

Some of the best gets of Nebraska football’s 2024 recruiting class all play on the same team. There’s the future quarterback in Daniel Kaelin. And then there’s the Bellevue Two in Isaiah McMorris and Dae’Vonn Hall.

All three future Huskers haven’t seen their final high school season go the way they had hoped. And Friday night might have seen the 2023 campaign go pear-shaped as Hall suffered an injury that at least one analyst believes could be a season-ender.

Rivals’ Greg Smith went out and watched Bellevue West’s latest contest against state powerhouse Omaha Westside. Westside rolled to victory despite going up against three future Nebraska football players, 45-12.

Adding injury to insult, Smith said that Hall had to leave the game with an apparent arm injury. The analyst went on to say that nothing has been made official, but he believes the wide receiver’s season might be over just a few weeks in.

Hall’s premature exit against Omaha Westside is the latest bump in the road in what has not been a smooth start for the Thunderbirds. Hall’s injury comes just as Bellevue West’s other top target in McMorris finally returned after being banged up earlier.

The real question now for Hall is just how bad the arm injury really is. The safest bet in the state is that Hall’s scholarship is still plenty safe. The question is going to be whether or not he’ll be ready to start training in the spring and summer.

Until we know the extent of the injury and what exactly it is, that’s going to be a question. Of course, it’s still a question as to whether the wide receiver is officially out for the season, or whether Nebraska football fans will get to watch him again yet this year.
