The Nebraska Cornhuskers are currently missing their leading tackler from a year ago. When will Myles Farmer be back with the team?

While Nebraska football head coach Matt Rhule wouldn’t be specific about what Farmer did to get suspended, he admitted that it wasn’t just one thing. Rhule called it “lots of little things.” He did also leave the door open to the defensive back coming back at some point.

When he was asked about Farmer returning to the Nebraska Cornhuskers his response “we’ll see” wasn’t exactly what you’d love to hear, but he did say that it was up to the Nebraska Cornhuskers star to do it. It seems as though Farmer knows what’s expected of him. He just needs to do it.

Josh Fleeks gone for good?

Fleeks and Farmer were both absent from Fan Day on Sunday so Rhule’s confirmation the wide receiver was away from the team was expected. While the Huskers’ head coach’s comments about Farmer seemed to be somewhat optimistic, his comments about Fleeks felt like there was some finality there.

Rhule said he sent Fleeks “home” when he showed up to camp overweight. It was clear he was disappointed in the transfer receiver.

Missing Nebraska Cornhuskers players

In addition to Fleeks and Farmer, a couple other players were missing on the first day of fall camp. Brodie Tagaloa and Jacob Hood are both out due to injury.  Unfortunately, Tagaloa is out for the year. Things are a bit more optimistic on the Hood front.

Former Nebraska baseball star continues monster season

Ex-Nebraska Cornhuskers player Aaron Palensky continued a great season this week. He’s turned into quite the slugger in the minor leagues.

On Sunday, he hit his 17th homer of the year.

Nebraska Cornhuskers wrestling gets NIL help

The 1890 Initiative continues to be an NIL collective that is just getting things done. That’s only good news for the Cornhuskers programs in general.

On Monday the organization announced it was going to be officially extending financial deals to Nebraksa Cornhuskers’ wrestlers. No doubt this kind of deal is going to help the program quite a bit in the coming months.
