When looking at the best and worst scenarios for every B1G school, one expert believes that Nebraska football is almost certainly headed to the postseason.

The first Nebraska football season under Matt Rhule is still several months away. But with the Nebraska baseball season officially over, there’s not much else for Huskers fans to do but sit and worry about what’s going to happen this fall.

Six straight losing seasons are going to make anyone a little nervous. Especially with yet another head coach who has said all the right things about having the right formula to finally start winning. After all, there was a time when most of Nebraska football nation was pretty convinced Scott Frost was the one to turn things around. He very much wasn’t.

According to Brad Crawford of 247Sports, Rhule’s gonna get the Nebraska football turned around enough that they’ll go to a bowl. Though the expert does caution that a “worst case scenario” could see the Huskers still finish with another losing record.

"Seven wins in Matt Rhule’s first year and a bowl trip? That would be a major momentum shift for the Huskers leading to hype ahead of the 2024 campaign. And in this projection, that would happen despite a stumbling to an 0-2 start out of the gate against Minnesota and Colorado. Nebraska’s win of the year comes the Friday after Thanksgiving when the Huskers keep the Hawkeyes from their 10th victory. For a worst case scenario to unfold, the Huskers would have to go winless in November against the likes of Michigan State, Maryland, Wisconsin and Iowa."

It’s a safe bet that some Husker fans are going to be a bit annoyed that Crawford predicts a loss to both Minnesota and Colorado. However, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we will take a loss to Deion Sanders if it means winning at least seven games.
