Nebraska Football: Husker fans suddenly expecting a Sunday commitment

Did Nebraska football just get its second commitment of the 2024 recruiting class? Quite a few Husker fans are getting rather excited on Sunday afternoon as one of the Cornhuskers’ coaching staff appears to be signaling the big recruiting weekend did indeed end with an addition.

As of now, there isn’t any news on just who might have pulled the trigger. As is always the rule of respect, the anyone who does know is letting the player make the announcement in their own time.

However, the Nebraska football coaching staff has already established a pattern on social media that tends to get their fans quite excited for what might be coming next. Interesting enough, it’s usually Omar Hales who takes to Twitter to shoot off some cyber fireworks but this time it was NU’s Assistant Director of Player Personnel Keith Williams who lit the proverbial fuse.

The tweet, which showed those fireworks and just carried the caption, “there is no place like Nebraska,” has been how the coaching staff signals something is up. Now it becomes a waiting game to see if someone does pull the trigger, or announce that they’ve pulled the trigger. In the meantime, Nebraska football fans are going to have to spend the rest of their Sunday wondering if that announcement will come and who it might be from.

While there are certainly some Nebraska football fans who are holding out hope that Dylan Raiola is the one who has finally made the commitment, it seems extremely unlikely that particular saga is wrapping up anytime soon.

There is one particular player who is thought to be closer to pulling the trigger for the Nebraska football team who did just wrap up a visit.

For now, it’s all just guesses until someone steps up and makes the announcement. Here’s hoping it’s not just one big Nebraska football tease.
