Nebraska Football: Dylan Raiola recruitment not ending anytime soon

Nebraska football fans are celebrating yet another unofficial visit by Dylan Raiola on Friday but there might not be much to celebrate just yet. While some analysts believe the 5-star quarterback will be committing somewhere this month, it appears things could go on into the beginning of the summer at the very least.

One thing appears to be true of Dylan Raiola. The Nebraska football target has zeroed in on four schools as the possible final landing spot. The Huskers are in the fight with Oregon, USC and Georgia. Now it’s all about trying to figure out when the war might be over.

Unless the top quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class is just trying to misdirect everyone, it appears the war isn’t going to be over for quite a while. It’s undoubtedly not ending soon, considering that Raiola is taking his first official visit in the first week of June. The lucky school to win that first official visit is none other than the two-time national champion Bulldogs.

The Nebraska football target actually announced he’d be taking his first official visit while he was still on yet another unofficial visit to the Huskers. And a June visit being the first official to Georgia, would seem to indicate his recruitment isn’t coming to a close anytime soon.

In fact, considering that people keep thinking Raiola is going to pull the trigger soon, the fact that this thing is going to stretch into June appears to be quite a twist. How to read into that twist is anyone’s guess.

At the moment, the USC Trojans are considered the favorite to land Raiola. However, there have been times when Nebraska football and Georgia have also been considered the team to beat. And of course at one point, Ohio State looked like the king of the hill.

Just when the quarterback is going to be taking the other official visits might be the key. If he’s looking to space them out, it’s possible Raiola isn’t going to wrap things up until just before his senior year. It’s hard to know whether that’s good or bad for Nebraska football.
