Should Nebraska football fans be worried about a planned trip by Bellevue West receiver Isaiah McMorris this week? Yeah, probably.

It’s not that the Nebraska football recruiting target is taking a visit at all. That’s just part of the cycle. He’ll likely take other visits before McMorris pulls the trigger on his final school.

However, there is one big reason why a trip to Missouri might mean big trouble for the Nebraska football program. The Tigers happen to have just secured the commitment of McMorris’ quarterback at Bellevue. Could Daniel Kaelin be doing some serious peer recruiting? One would have to think so.

The visit to Missouri doesn’t appear to be one that was planned for a long period of time. The receiver announced he would go see what the Tigers have to offer on Thursday afternoon while most people were busy worrying about the NCAA Tournament brackets.

That doesn’t necessarily mean anything either. But it’s clear that he’ll be taking in the sights at a program that has already reeled in one of his teammates. That teammate has put up prolific numbers and helped McMorris put up prolific numbers as well.

The Bellevue West product set a state record with 90 catches for almost 1,300 yards and 15 touchdowns. Nebraska football is obviously hoping he’ll bring those skills to Lincoln. Kaelin would no doubt love to see his top pass catcher come to Mizzou.

It is worth noting that it’s not quite panic time just yet. Missouri appears to have some work to do before they’re going to get into the favorites of McMorris, according to On3. Of course, Missouri kind of came out of nowhere when it came to nabbing Kaelin as well.

One would have to think that if Nebraska football could land Dylan Raiola, that could play a big part in getting Isaiah McMorris to pull the trigger for the Big Red.
