Nebraska football recruiting apparently has its work cut out for it, considering that Bellevue wide receiver Isaiah McMorris is heading out to USC.

The announcement that McMorris is heading out to see the Trojans means that an already busy spring for the 3-star wide receiver just got a bit more hectic. It also shows that yet another top prospect in Nebraska football recruiting’s home state is getting a lot of attention from programs nationwide. It also shows the attention is coming fast and furiously, considering it wasn’t all that long ago he got his first couple of Power 5 offers.

McMorris took to Twitter on Saturday to announce he’ll be taking in what USC has to offer on April 8. The announcement means he’ll be taking in at least seven P5 programs in a matter of weeks.

Once his recruiting visits start in the middle of next month, the Nebraska football recruiting target is going to be flying all over the country. Things kick off with a March 17 and 18 visit to Missouri. The following weekend he’ll be taking a visit to the Huskers. That just happens to be the same day that Dylan Raiola and several other big-name prospects will be in Lincoln.

After the Huskers, McMorris will visit Oklahoma on March 31, USC April 8, Kansas State April 11, Penn State April 14 and 15 and then finally Minnesota on April 22. It stands to reason that once that murderer’s row of trips is over, that the Nebraska football recruiting target might be willing to pull the trigger on where he plans on playing his college ball.

The Cornhuskers clearly do have their work cut out for them. It’s become obvious that when it comes top prospects in the state, big programs are coming calling more often. According to 247Sports, the Bellevue West receiver is considered the number four player in the 2024 class for Nebraska.

According to On3, the Huskers have the inside track though they aren’t exactly running away from the pack. Matt Rhule and company benefit from being the first to offer Isaiah McMorris but according to recruiting experts, Kansas State is near and dear to his heart.

With visits to Oklahoma and USC planned, Nebraska football recruiting is going to have to keep the pressure up in order to haul in Isaiah McMorris when he is finally and officially ready to pull the trigger and commit.
