Nebraska Football: Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda gets in on Dylan Raiola recruiting drive
The Nebraska football team has made no bones about the fact that they are going all-in for 5-star prospect Dylan Raiola. Up until today, the coaches have mostly been the ones that have been showing the Chandler, Arizona signal caller the love. But it looks like they’ve called in the big guns.
That would be the current Nebraska football wide receiver Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda. To be more accurate it would be both former and new wide receiver. Garcia-Castaneda left the Huskers’ program towards the end of the Mickey Joseph era, and when he did it became clear rather quickly that he departed because he had some issues with his position coach turned head coach.
However, once Joseph was put in the Nebraska football program’s rear view mirror, the transfer receiver decided he wanted to come back and play for Matt Rhule. Now he’s making a pitch to bring a quarterback in that he may never actually play with.
Garcia-Castaneda took to social media on Tuesday to show off how he’s working on Dylan Raiola and trying to get him to understand why Nebraska football is the way to go.
The receiver posted a tweet that said simply, “you know what it is bro!” Alongside the caption he had one photo where it was just he and Dylan Raiola hanging out. Another picture showed a group of players with Dylan and little brother Dalton who had clearly been working out together. At the center of the photo was a Nebraska football-themed boom box that has made it into a number of pictures that featured the star quarterback prospect.
The post probably doesn’t mean anything is imminent when it comes to the Huskers. However, it did underline once again just how hard the Cornhuskers are trying to land the former Ohio State commit.
It’s clear that things got a bit more pressing for Nebraska football this week when Bellevue West product Daniel Kaelin announced he would play at Missouri. The quarterback dominoes have started falling and Husker fans are no doubt hoping Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda can help make sure they fall the right way.
