Nebraska football target Owen Pappoe showed the Huskers some love by tweeting out to a couple of former teammates who are with the Cornhuskers.

Trying to figure out what a player really feels about the Nebraska football program can be a tricky business. For the most part, they’re usually willing to tell people what they think they want to hear.

Sometimes you have to make a guess as far as how a target is feeling. If we had to guess, it feels as though Owen Pappoe might be liking what he’s seeing from the Huskers these days.

Earlier this week the nation’s leading linebacker recruit in the 2019 class took to Twitter to talk to a couple of old teammates. Both Cornhuskers’ veteran Mo Barry and newcomer Breon Dixon went to the same high school as Pappoe.

The trio all went to Grayson Highschool, in Loganville, Georgia. Pappoe posted a picture of the three in their Grayson High uniforms. In the background was the caption “Grayson Legacy” with Nebraska’s memorial stadium in the background.

With the tweet was the question “should I make that move?” Barry responded you already know little bro.” Dixon, perhaps because he just went through the recruiting process again when he was looking to move from Ole Miss was a bit more judicious.

The new Huskers linebacker told Pappoe that it was something to think about but that he “had time.” While he does indeed have some time, it’s good to see that his consideration of the Huskers is genuine.

Owen Pappoe is indeed one of the best players in the entire 2019 class. He’s getting recruited by schools like Alabama and Auburn.

The Nebraska football team is going to have an uphill climb. It looks like they might have a few aces in the hole they can go to when it comes to decision time.
