Two Nebraska football targets announced where they are going to be playing next year.

Saturday night had the potential to be a pretty good night for the Nebraska football team. Matthew Tago announced the school he is planning on attending after narrowing his choices down to three.

It came down to Nebraska, Oregon State and Utah and during his announcement, he had the three teams’ hats laid out in front of him. When it came time to announce, Tago decided he was headed to Oregon State.

While the Huskers would have like to have landed the player warmly known as Bam Bam, the loss is going to be blunted by the fact that their class is still looking like it might be one of the better ones in the Big Ten.

Tago wasn’t the only Husker target that announced he was headed elsewhere on Saturday night. When Ta’Zhawn Henry announced he was going to Texas Tech, it wasn’t exactly a shock.

The running back target out of Texas had cut the Cornhuskers out of the running last week. Still, there’s always hope someone with his talent might have changed his mind.

While neither of these players are ones that are going to make or break the recruiting class, there’s something to be said for two losses on the same night. It would be nice if they were going into Wednesday’s signing day with a bit better head of steam.

It’s a safe bet the Nebraska football team knew they weren’t getting Ta’Zhawn Henry and Matthew Tago. Now the team will look to lock up their other targets ahead of signing day.
