The Nebraska football team appears to have some real competition for Ta’Zhawn Henry in the form of Oregon State and the Huskers former head coach.

While the Nebraska football team continues to rise of the recruiting ranks, one of its key targets Ta’Zhawn Henry is having a heck of a visit with Oregon State.

The enjoyment of that visit seems to be mapping out what may be the key competitor for Henry’s services. There’s only a little bit of irony in the fact that the Huskers are squaring off against their former head coach.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this budding rivalry is that the Huskers didn’t show any interest in Henry when Riley was in charge of Nebraska. Whether this development is because Riley didn’t think Henry was good enough for the Cornhuskers or they simply missed him isn’t the point now.

The Huskers are going hard after the three-star running back now. Henry paid a visit to Oregon State over the weekend.

With his Twitter account, Henry made it clear he enjoyed his visit to Corvallis. The question now is whether or not he enjoyed it enough to make him decide he wants to go there.

Considering he’s coming out of Texas, there isn’t really a regional bias either way. Oregon State would actually be quite a bit further away from where he’s living now.

It’s hard to tell from one minute to the next whether that’s a good or bad thing in the mind of a teenager. Earlier this month, he announced that his girlfriend had been accepted to Nebraska.

While it’s never a bad sign that he and his significant other are planning things that way, it’s not as cut and dried as it looks. She won’t be enrolling anywhere, at Nebraska, Oregon State or anywhere else until the fall.

Signing day is coming soon. The Nebraska football team clearly has interest in Ta’Zhawn Henry. The question now is whether Henry has more interest in the Huskers or the Beavers.
