Nebraska football fans might get nervous once they look at these odds.

While Mike Riley is still the head coach of the Nebraska football team, the prevalent opinion is that he won’t be once the season ends. There has been quite a bit of talk about who might replace him, Husker fans have been most vocal about former Cornhusker quarterback Scott Frost being the man.

It appears Vegas thinks he’s going somehere else laying odds that instead of succeeding Riley, he’lll be headed to the Florida Gators. One online bookmaker, Betonline has laid the odds that Frost is going to Gainesville at -150.

Those odds are quite a bit better than what the bookmaker believes is the second best bet in Dan Mullen. Mullen, the current Mississippi State head coach is coming in at +400. Coming in third in the odds is Memphis head coach Mike Norvell.

It’s important to note that while Frost might be the odds on favorite, it doesn’t mean he’s actually more likely to get the job than anyone else. It simply means that bettors, and Gator fans are more likely to lay their money on the former Cornhuskers QB.

Florida fired its coach, Jim McElwain earlier this year and is thought to be looking hard at the UCF head man. Norvell and Mullen are names that have been tossed around as well, considering Tennesee is expected to cut head man Butch Jones loose after the season.

The really interesting name on this list might be who is coming in fourth in the odds. Dino Babers isn’t a name that has been talked about a whole lot, but he’s getting more attention for the job he’s done at Syracuse recently.

Cornhusker fans who have been clamoring for Frost have been nervous ever since McElwain was fired. The thinking was that Florida officially had the jump on the Scott Frost sweepstakes. For his part, Bill Moos has said he hasn’t made a decision on whether a change is officially coming for the Nebraska football program.
