Husker Football: Husker Corner Monday Mailbag (6/16/14)

facebooktwitterreddit

Sup, Monday peeps? The NBA finals are over, the Heat lost, the College World Series is in full swing and we’re inching ever so closer to Husker football. Apparently, there’s a high demand for bikes these days for some reason. Let’s get to it.

Brandon: Well, there’s the interpretation of what I think Bo will do and what I would do in his situation. However, I am going to discuss your question as if I was running the show.

More from Nebraska Cornhuskers News

Banderas has learned his lesson from what I understand. In most situations under Pelini, everybody gets “one”. I’d have Joseph do the same thing.

Kids look at Nebraska football players as superheroes, so I think seeing that up close and personal while teaching bike safety is a win-win.

What kind of trouble do you think Tolbert gets in not only for smoking weed, but running from the cops? – Frank Walinski (Husker Corner Mail)

Brandon: Smoking weed in public in a state not that way *nudges head to the west* isn’t a good idea, lame as a call to the cops may or may not be to you. Running from 5-O’s not on my bucket list and it doesn’t exactly help Tolbert’s case as an incoming recruit.

He just got put on some mighty thin ice and the chance of him seeing time this year got razor-thin, methinks.

Brandon: For those of you who’ve never seen my Twitter profile, Mark’s talking about this shot. Two things you should know, Mark: Bo wasn’t yelling and that’s not a lady.

If you could bring back one Husker hero that you think could get Pelini a conference title this season, who would it be and why? – Trish Dahlgaard (Husker Corner Mail)

Brandon: Does Tom Osborne count? I kid. If I had to pick someone, I’d go with one of my personal favorites: Dean Steinkuhler. The guy who was Ndamukong Suh before Suh came around. Steinkuhler won the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award in the same year, plus he was named UPI Lineman of the Year.

You put that sucker up against Big Ten defensive lines and tell me Ameer Abdullah won’t break some records.

Thanks again for the questions, folks. As always, if you want to be a part of next week’s Mailbag, send us a question/comment. Have a good rest of the week!
