Nebraska is 18-0 for the first time in program history and has won more regular-season games so far this season than it did all last season. The Cornhuskers are one of three undefeated teams left in college basketball and are 7-0 in Big Ten play for the first time since 1965-1966.
So all of this would make fans think that Nebraska is ranked at least in the top five of the Top 25 rankings, if not the top three, right? Wrong.
Nebraska, after beating both Oregon and Northwestern and having two high-ranked wins this season, only moved up one spot from No. 8 to No. 7 this week in the AP Top 25. At this point, the disrespect is getting out of hand when it comes to Nebraska. What more do the voters want from the Cornhuskers?

Nebraska's historic season isn't enough for a higher ranking
Nebraska has been literally inching up the rankings each week as the AP voters don't think they deserve a high jump, even though they have yet to drop a game this season. An undefeated record alone should give the Cornhuskers a ranking in the top five, but instead, they sit behind teams that have dropped at least one game.
Nebraska is doing something in the Big Ten that not even Michigan, the team ranked No. 3 in the country, has done. The Cornhuskers are the first Big Ten team to start 18-0 since Ohio State was 24-0 to start the 2010-2011 season. Let us remind you that Nebraska only won 17 regular-season games last season.

The turnaround that head coach Fred Hoiberg has from last season to this season is astonishing, and it isn't even being recognized the way it should be by the AP voters. Nebraska has done everything asked of them so far this season, and they have some tougher games coming up that should prove even more with wins.
Nebraska has games against two Big Ten teams, No. 3 Michigan and No. 4 Purdue, ahead of them in the rankings that would speak volumes if they won.
