The reactions to Nebraska football almost pulling off an upset over No. 4 Ohio State were different depending on what sideline the people reacting were on. That's not a particularly big surprise. Matt Rhule was quite happy with the way his team played. He was happy with their effort.

Ryan Day, on the other hand, was not happy at all. After the game, he had some very choice words for the way his Buckeyes performed. Likely because he knows that calls for his job started up again not long after the game ended.

"I got to go back and watch the film and figure it out myself," Day told the media directly after his team's 21-17 victory. "Quite honestly, it's not good enough. We've got to run the football. We didn't do that today and that's why we put the defense in bad spots. That's why we were 1-for-10 on third downs and 1-for-2 on fourth downs."

Ohio State coach is angry about his team's effort vs Nebraska football

Day's anger was aimed mostly at his offense. But he was quite a bit happier with the defense.

"I certainly think on defense that the response was excellent. I just like the way our demeanor was and the way we were playing. We were flying around and getting lined up. A lot of things to build on there coming out of the game. On offense, we have to do better in some areas. We have to get back to the drawing board because we've got a big matchup coming up against Penn State," Day said.

For what it's worth, Nebraska football fans are almost certainly plenty happy Ryan Day is upset. At the same time, they should want him to keep his job. While NU has never beaten Day's Buckeyes, the last two times the teams faced off, the scores were the smallest margins of victory Ohio State has ever had vs the Huskers.
