Nebraska football offensive lineman Turner Corcoran is missing significant time for the second time in two years. He suffered an injury in the Illinois game and hasn’t appeared on the playing fied since. Now the lineman is having to consider whether he should try and make a comeback this season, or sit out the rest of the regular season and come back in 2025 after using a redshirt.

"That's more of a personal decision on his end," Head coach Matt Rhule said at his Thursday press conference. "He's not back yet, if he gets back and could play, we would have him ready to play. And if he wants to redshirt and come back next year, then we would do that for him. ...I wouldn't ask him to even think about that until he's actually healthy. He hasn't taken a rep in a practice yet. So I think he's still a ways away."

Redshirt freshman Gunnar Gottula and, the past two games, senior guard Micah Mazzccua, have replaced Corcoran as the starting left tackle for the Nebraska football team. For the most part, it seems as if they’ve done a good job in his absence.

The talk about Corcoran comes on the same day that the Huskers had some other injury news hit. Tommi Hill, who Rhule has said several times might be able to come back the last few weeks will miss the UCLA game as well.

As will defensive back Malcolm Hartzog. The rest of the team will try and get the Nebraska football program its 6th win of the season and go to a bowl for the first time since 2016.
