Nebraska had its first commitment of the month of July yesterday when 3-star wide receiver Larry Miles announced he would join the Cornhuskers in the Class of 2026. Miles was the twelfth commitment for Nebraska overall and looked to be the start of hopefully a strong month for the Cornhuskers.

Class of 2027 quarterback commit Trae Taylor, who has basically been another recruiter for Nebraska since announcing his commitment, is ecstatic about Miles choosing Nebraska. Taylor took to social media to express his excitement by talking about his and Miles' time together playing 7v7 football and how he knows this is a good pick-up for Nebraska.

When Miles made his commitment, he coined the phrase "I'm home, baby, Flobraska," tying his commitment back to his Florida roots. Miles chose Nebraska over schools such as Miami, Pitt, and Louisville.

Larry Miles' commitment to Nebraska is huge for Matt Rhule's 2026 recruiting class

Larry Miles is not the only kid from Florida who has committed to the Cornhuskers; he joins 4-star cornerback Danny Odem, who is also from Orlando, Florida, as the two kids from the Sunshine State. Miles is the No. 12 player to commit to the Class of 2026 at Nebraska.

Miles is rated as a 3-star wide receiver out of Orlando, Florida, and is ranked the No. 500 player nationally, the No. 81 wide receiver in the Class of 2026, and the No. 70 player in the state of Florida. Coming in at 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, Miles will be a fairly good size, but as the ability to get a little bigger before hitting the college field.

Head coach Matt Rhule has had a good month of June when it came to recruiting, and the cycle isn't over yet, as the month of July could bring even more commitments. The 2025 season is getting closer, but that doesn't mean recruiting will stop.
