Now that Electronic Arts has unveiled and shown some deep dives into EA Sports College Football 25, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Nebraska football fans and players are excited about the upcoming game.

Of course, as is usually the case when digitizing real life into a video game, mistakes can pop up. The Huskers were the subject of one heck of a mistake, though at least one of the players involved seemed to have some fun with it.

As games like NCAA Football and Madden strive for a more realistic portrayal, it's not uncommon for Nebraska football players and fans to have some concerns about their in-game ratings or appearance. These issues, while understandable, can sometimes detract from the overall gaming experience.

Since EA has allowed for some deep dives and clips of the video game, people have been noticing their favorite players and teams featured in the videos. That included one sharpeyed fan noticing that a clip featured Huskers defensive back Tommi Hill breaking up a pass intended for an LSU receiver.

Unfortunately, this is also where the mistake comes in. The clip shows a Cornhuskers player with Hill on the back of his jersey. However, Hill is also sporting number 10. Which isn’t his number.

Hill sports number 31 on the Huskers. Number 10 is actually a defensive lineman JImari Butler. And Butler was the one to point out Hill was wearing his number.

“Bro you took my number,” Butler jokingly posted on a retweet of the clip.

Butler and the people complaining about the clip have a point. This kind of mistake is easily avoidable.

Of course, Electronic Arts has a couple of months to get this stuff right. They’ve already said the footage out there isn’t part of the finished game. Nebraska football players will just hold out hope their numbers are all right on July 19, when the game releases.
