Nebraska football has played, but never beaten these programs
Few programs can match Nebraska football in terms of success and prestige. After all, the program is 10th all-time with a .678 winning percentage and 8th all-time with 917 wins.
What's more, the Cornhusker fan base is unlike any in the country. Arguably the most loyal and dedicated fans around, they pack Memorial Stadium for every game regardless of how the season is going.
Over the years, Nebraska has had quite a few long-standing rivalries. For instance, Nebraska has played Kansas, Iowa State, and Missouri over 100 times each. In all three of those series, the Huskers have a huge advantage.
In fact, only nine programs in the nation have a current winning record against Nebraska. That includes the following teams that the Huskers have played but never beaten.
Nebraska vs. Arkansas
Given the history of both programs, it is surprising that Nebraska and Arkansas have met only once. One would think that with the two schools only about 450 miles from each other, it would have set up nicely for the two teams to play on a somewhat regular basis.
However, the only time the Huskers and the Hogs have met was on New Year's Day of 1965. That game was the Cotton Bowl in Dallas pitting No. 2 Arkansas against No. 6 Nebraska in a top-10 showdown.
The Razorbacks would emerge with a narrow 10-7 win in from of over 75,000 fans. It was the second-straight loss for Nebraska after the Huskers began the 1964 season 9-0.
Currently, Nebraska has no games with Arkansas scheduled. The only SEC teams that are on the Huskers' future schedule are Tennessee (in 2026-27) and Oklahoma (in 2029-30).
