Surprise offer has Nebraska Football in the lead for Colorado WR
It seems that every now and then, the Nebraska football team will make a “reach” on a prospect that often turns out to not be a reach at all. Matt Rhule has offered a number of players since he arrived in Lincoln where he was one of the first offers for a prospect. As a general rule, other power conference teams come calling shortly thereafter.
It’s possible that Tanner Terch is the next player who has gotten no P4 interest before now. We’ll have to watch and see if that interest ticks up now that the Colorado wide receiver officially has an offer in hand from the Nebraska football program.
While this looks like one of Rhule’s “evaluation specials,” it’s worth noting that it’s not like Terch doesn’t have anything to make Nebraska football fans excited. For starters, if he doesn’t work out at wide receiver at the next level, he’s got the beginnings of a tight end type body.
Terch stands 6-foot-2 and 185, so he’d need to bulk up to start at tight end at Nebraska, but that size could give him an edge. The 3-star prospect is also considered the best player in the state of Colorado according to 247Sports.

Speaking of 247Sports, they believe that the Huskers are in great shape to land Terch in the not too distant future. He has only one crystal ball but Mike Schaeffer does believe he’ll commit to Nebraska.
For Heritage last season, Terch nabbed 55 catches for 876 yards, 1,317 all-purpose yards, and 10 total touchdowns.
There is apparently some talk that he could also play on the defensive side of the ball and nothing is written in stone. At the moment, the only other FBS program that has given Tanner Terch an official offer is Army.
