Suppose the Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball team wants to get to Sunday's Big Ten Tournament final game against either Michigan or Purdue. In that case, they will need to pull off two very big performances against the Indiana Hoosiers.

Relief pitcher Kyle Perry is stepping into the 9am game with a fire in his belly. His attitude is clear- he's ready to take on the challenge. This was evident in his early morning tweet, just an hour before game time, where he expressed his readiness with a simple yet powerful statement.

Perry's social media post was short and to the point. But he knew what he was doing when he tweeted, "channeling @treythekiid3 today." The Twitter account Perry referenced was none other than former Nebraska wide receiver Trey Palmer.

Palmer is well known for tweeting, "I woke up pi**ed off," ahead of big games. Usually, the tweet is followed by some of the biggest games of his Nebraska Cornhuskers career. Perry wanted to bottle a bit of the adrenaline hinted at in those posts for his baseball team as they got ready for a very big Saturday.

Nebraska Cornhuskers need to stay angry against Indiana

Perry's Huskers will need lots of energy as they have to win two games against the Hoosiers in order to advance to Sunday's finals. The herculean task - which will need to be done without either Brett Sears or Mason McConnaughey - is in front of Nebraska because they lost their Big Ten Tournament opener when they were run-ruled by Ohio State.

The Huskers got their revenge on the Buckeyes on Friday night by almost returning the favor.

Nebraska will also be without one of their best relievers in Jalen Worthley after he pitched 2.1 innings in relief on Friday. With two games to play, it's safe to assume Kyle Perry will be called on by the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He's ready to go.
